Welcome to the Milk Subscription!

We're so glad you're here! We've kept these guidelines simple so you know what to expect and how to get the best experience from your fresh milk. If you ever have questions, please reach out. We're happy to help!

About Our Raw Milk

Our dairy products are raw, meaning they are not pasteurized. Raw milk can contain both beneficial and harmful organisms, which is why we take milk quality, cleanliness, and handling very seriously.

We are RAWMI Listed and committed to producing clean, high-quality raw milk. We test our milk multiple times each month to ensure we are meeting RAWMI standards.

Fun fact: We were the first RAWMI Listed farm within roughly a 500-mile radius! We are excited to see more Nebraska dairies working toward the same goal.

Getting the Best Experience With Raw Milk

If you are new to raw milk, we recommend starting slowly by having a small amount each day and allowing your body time to adjust.

Please do your own research to decide if raw milk is the right choice for you and your family.

To keep your milk fresh:

• Milk stays freshest when kept between 34-38°F.

• Transport your milk in a cooler from our refrigerator to yours. Keeping it cold helps maintain freshness and quality.

• Your milk should stay fresh for 7-10 days from the fill date when handled properly.

• Clean jars and cold milk make the freshest milk!

• Please return jars clean, sanitized, and completely dry each week.

• Raw milk is available through farm-to-consumer sales only.

Visiting The Farm

Our farm is our home, too! We ask everyone to stay in the market area, supervise children, drive slowly, and be respectful of pickup hours. This keeps everyone, including our animals, safe.

Subscription

Your subscription reserves fresh milk just for you every week.

Since our cows are still producing milk and we're still bottling your order, we aren't able to offer refunds for missed pickups or cancellations after the month has started.

If you can't make pickup, you can:

• Send a friend

• Have us hold your milk for one week (space permitting)

• Donate it to a local family in need

This policy allows us to continue caring for our cows, paying for feed and monthly farm expenses, and planning milk production with confidence. Every subscription helps keep our little dairy running. And if you choose to donate your milk, you'll also be helping another family put fresh, nutritious food on their table.

Payments

Subscription invoices are sent on the 22nd and are due by the 1st of the month.

Need a different due date? Just let us know. We're happy to work with you.

Payments received after the 8th will include a 10% late fee.

On Farm Pick up:

We'll work together to find a pickup day that fits your schedule, though some days may already be full.

Your order will be available for 2 pickup days during our subscription hours:

Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–6:30 PM
Sunday: Closed

Example: If your pickup day is Wednesday but you can't make it, you have until the end of the day Friday to pick up your milk. After that, your milk will be recycled, and because your jars have already been used, a jar washing fee will apply.

Once your subscription is active, you'll receive the door code to access our self-serve farm market. The market runs on the honor system, and we truly appreciate everyone helping us keep it that way.

Please drive slowly as you come into the yard. This is our home, and there are often children and animals nearby.

Drop Points:

At each drop point, one volunteer picks up everyone's milk from the farm and brings it to the designated location.

When you pick up your order, simply leave your empty jars in the cooler for the next pickup.

Please arrive during your scheduled pickup time. Once milk leaves our farm, we can't guarantee its freshness if it's picked up late or left sitting out.

Jars

Our milk is packaged in reusable half gallon glass jars to keep it fresh and reduce waste.

For on-farm pickup, you'll need two sets of jars: one set with you and one set at the farm ready to be filled.

For drop point pickup, you'll need three sets of jars so we can keep the rotation going.

Please return the same number of clean, dry jars each week so we can prepare your next order. Each jar will be labeled with your last name.

If jars are forgotten, we'll package your milk in replacement containers and add the following replacement charges:

  • ½ Gallon Glass Jar: $7

  • Quart Glass Jar: $5

  • Pint Glass Jar: $5

  • Lid: $3

If a returned jar needs to be washed before it can be reused, a $7 cleaning fee per jar will apply.

If you cancel your subscription, your jars will be held for 30 days for pickup. After 30 days, any unclaimed jars become the property of Chapman Family Farms & Dairy.

Staying In Touch

Please keep an eye on your email, as that's where we'll send your monthly invoices and any important updates about your subscription, pricing, pickup schedules, or farm news.

  • If something unexpected happens and affects your milk pickup (every now and then we have a "milk-tastrophe" 🤪), we'll send you a text message as soon as possible with the details.

Ordering Extras

Need to add a few extras to your pickup? We'd love to!

Please place your order at least 24 hours in advance so we have time to set everything aside for you.

Your order will be labeled with your name and waiting in the cooler, freezer, or on the checkout table when you arrive.

Many of our dairy products, like butter, sour cream, buttermilk, coffee creamer, and ice cream, are made by hand in small batches. Because of the time and labor involved, these items are priced to reflect the care that goes into making them.

Cancellation Policy

You're welcome to cancel your subscription at any time before the next month's billing cycle begins.

Because your milk is planned and produced specifically for your subscription, we aren't able to offer refunds for cancellations made after the month has started.

As our farm grows, prices and subscription policies may occasionally need to change. If they do, we'll always give our subscribers plenty of notice before those changes take effect.

Thank you for choosing to support our family farm. It truly means the world to us. Every gallon of milk you purchase helps us care for our cows, steward our land, and continue providing fresh, local food to families like yours.

We're grateful you're here, and we look forward to serving your family for years to come!

💛 Melanie, your milk maid
